Cycle 2_Week 3
I think the author most likely wrote the passage because she wanted to warn humans about the consequences when you eat sea turtles. I know this because through out the passage I read about the effects eating sea turtle meat can have on humans, and how eating sea turtle meat can decrease it's population in the ocean. In the passage it says,"Sea turtles absorb a lot of pollution from the ocean, including pesticides and heavy metals like mercury and cadmium. These toxins are health hazards for both turtles and humans and can cause permanent damage to their bodies." This tells me that eating sea turtle meat is very bad for humans because of the toxins the turtle absorbs. Also in the passage it says,"Sea turtles also carry the bacteria salmonella, which can cause severe diarrhea in people." This tells me eating sea turtle meat can be hurtful and painful. This reminds me of how monacrh butterflies are poisonous. They are pretty on the outside, hurtful when they're inside you. That's why animals rarely eat them.

1. Nice evidence. You made a few mistakes though. Most of them are spelling. Nice job though.- Michael Morris' comment
2. Reduce,re use, recycle. This reminds me of when I had to perform at the War Memorial in a Going Green Show by Tedi. I learned a lot by going Green. Nice job.-Jose Carranza's comment
